Bush Appoints New Leader, plus some other stuff.
According to The Onion, Bush is about to appoint someone to be in charge of the country. Via.
I love The Onion.
Also in the news, this time from the BBC, apparently (and contrary to popular opinion) the number of wars going on around the globe has actually been decreasing since the end of the Cold War. And not only has warfare generally been on the wane, but the number of people who die in each armed conflict has been decreasing. This means: fewer wars and fewer casualties per war. Finally, the number of civilians who have died as the result of armed conflict is much lower than the researchers expected, and lower generally than the numbers who died in conflict prior to the Cold War. Link.
What this does for dispensational theology is anybodies guess. I wonder if this information will reach the "researchers" behind the Rapture Index?

Rapture index? Man, I didn't know there was such a thing. I am SO out of touch. Thanks for getting me in the loop, Tim.
