Marriage

A lot has been going on relating to marriage lately. I preached a sermon a couple of weeks ago from Eph 5 on marriage, which went well. I'm pretty sure I drove home the "submit" message pretty clearly (the ladies in our church have taken to wearing hankies on their heads), and wifey has given me a foot massage every day since (cough).

I'm "officiating" at a sort-of wedding this weekend; a young couple in our church will likely be getting married soon-ish; and Lissa and I have been attending a marriage course these last 3 weeks, which has been going really well. The course is titled "Marriage: how to get your wife to do everything, while you watch TV." Just kidding.

The course has actually been really positive, it has opened opportunity for us to clear away some of our lingering issues and press on into new ground. I'm really looking forward to week six. (If you say that with a kiwi accent you'll know exactly what I mean).
