Boarding

Just got back from boarding all day at Whistler. I am sore all over, so it is lucky Melissa has some T3's left over from her wisdom teeth extraction a month or two ago. A couple of those, a glass of whisky, and I'll see you next Friday.

Whistler: beautiful one day, pouring down with freezing rain the next. Lucky for us we chose to go boarding on the day when everything turned to ice. Made stacking out really fun, that's for sure. I think I may have ruptured a kidney, a vertebrae, and ingested about 4 gallons of slush.

Funnest bit: having to wait for about 25 mins, while suspended 30 feet in the air on a chair-lift that had stopped moving, while freezing rain slashed viscously at my face, while all the Aussies that run the place try to figure out what's gone wrong. Did I mention it was also blowing a gale? And that I was soaking wet? And that the wind, ice, wet-clothes, and sub-zero temps combination, is neither good for one's general disposition, nor for the well-being of one's genitals as they freeze to the chair-lift seat?

Can't wait to get back.
